What I Learned Today 4/1
My Verse of the Day: Understanding Your Dreams
Jeremiah 23:25 - "I have heard what the prophet say who prophesy lies in My name. They say, 'I had a dream! I had a dream!'" (NIV)
On August 28, 1963, Martin Luther King delivered his famous "I Have A Dream" speech in Washington, DC. That speech was a vision of an ideal world where people from all creeds, races and faiths would live in peace and harmony. He thought of a world where sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave-owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood. He hoped for the oppressive and injustice state of Mississippi would become an oasis of freedom. He dreamt of a world where his four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by
the color of their skin but by the content of their character and that little black boys and girls will be able
to join hands with little white boys and girls as sisters and brothers.
What God was referring to were those false prophets who claim to have heard from God but in reality they did not. They present these dreams as divine communications to gain credibility with the people. They were just a bunch of con artists, charlatans, thieves and liars
